· I was working on a turbocharger housing and needed some more information on 3D equation curves. I found a really sweet write-up on the discussion boards posted by Glenn Chun, Autodesk employee. If you are working with helixes, check this one out. Variable pitch, variable radius helixes, differing variations and more.
Explicit equation curves use a single equation to define y as a function of x. Units, Parameters, and Functions in equation curves. Balance the units in equations. Balancing units in equations often requires multiplying or dividing by 1, or multiple units of length. When the units are not a single unit of length, the equation text is red and an ...
· How to draw a catenary or other parametric curve in Inventor?: The catenary curve (also called a chainette, alysoid, funicular, see wiki) - the curve of hanging chain or cable or other fibre in a homogenous gravitational field - is used in many design tasks. To create a sketch shapes as a catenary in Inventor you can zse the function "Equation curve" and specify the curve parametrically.
In Inventor, a NURBS curve can have an order up to 8. However, higher orders introduce oscillation into the curve and can behave unpredictably when a control point moves. Cubic curves (order of 4) are the most commonly used curves, since they provide enough control for most geometric modeling applications without the drawbacks of higher-order ...
· AutoCAD Inventor :: Create Hyperbola Curve Using Equation Curve (Autodesk 2013) Feb 19, 2013. I want to draw hyperbola curve whose equation is x^2/a^2 - y^2/b^2=1. May I use equation curve tool to make the above hyperbola. I have also made a hyperbola curve of aforesaid equation through conventional method on mathematical ground in the past.
· Will equation curves in Inventor 2013 come to the rescue? Well yes they do – it''s a whole lot simpler this way. So I''ve created a spiral using my very own polar equation curve, and discovered along the way that you can use parameters in there! Happy days, so download the part file at the bottom of the page if you are in need of a spiral ...
· Create 2D Equation Curves In an active sketch, click Sketch tab Create panel Equation Curve (2D sketch) or 3D Sketch tab Draw panel Equation Curve (3D sketch). In the mini-toolbar, choose a curve type: Parametric. Uses two equations to evaluate X and Y or r and θ. Explicit. Uses one equation to evaluate Y or r and a range for X or a. Choose a coordinate system: Cartesian.
· Open curve-equation_vss-method-trl3.txt 8. If prompted for Single Step Trail select Continue Watch Playback. You may see it focus back to PRT000001 which was used to load tree settings. You can minimize and maximize proe icon from system tray to see the part being created.
· Global Variables can be used to drive equations and dimensions. Say for example, you were designing a pipe and wanted the pipe length to remain relative to some other dimension—maybe your pipe has some length constraints relative to its installation location. You could name a Global Variable as "PipeLimit.".
Scaling 2D Equation Curve. Hey guys, so my problem is that I have an equation curve that I want to scale because it''s a parameter that constantly needs changing. I cannot modify the equation itself because changing the expression modifies certain things that are not supposed to change, I purely want to scale its dimension.

The metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET, MOS-FET, or MOS FET), also known as the metal–oxide–silicon transistor (MOS transistor, or MOS), is a type of insulated-gate field-effect transistor that is fabricated by the controlled oxidation of a semiconductor, typically silicon. The voltage of the covered gate determines the electrical conductivity of the device; this ...
Uppdate 29.11.15 Added 9X4.5 blade sett, (Prop4) i hadent done this for a while so i hope i got it right. I finally got the equation curves in inventor all set, if somone wants a spesific airfoil profile let me know. This has less tip turbulence and makes a lot less noice I use it as a silent replacement for 5-7" props for my quad. 3 mm axel print as solid. I print it on hight resolution and ...
Create equation curve. Cartesian equation curves use X, Y coordinates. Parametric equation curves use equations to define x and y as a function of a variable t. On the ribbon, click Sketch tab Create Panel Equation Curve. Then select the type: Parametric Cartesian . In the x(t) box, enter the equation for x …
· Location of the Equation Curves Tool in the 3D Sketch Environment. The Equation Curves tool allows the user to create equations using three different coordinate systems: Cartesian (X, Y coordinates), Cylindrical (Radius, Length and Angle) and Spherical (Radius, Azimuthal Angle, and Polar Angle); all based on time. The desired curve …

Looking to run Fusion 360/Autodesk Inventor. Now I already have all of the other parts I need as I had them laying around/bought them. I''ve got a 240Gb SSD, 16Gb 2400Mhz RAM, a AMD A8-9600 APU @ 3.1 Ghz, Radeon R7 Graphics @ 900Mhz (the APU is definitely a limiting factor, I''m waiting to buy a friends 2600X when he upgrades his PC) all on a ...
· The equation of the curve is. y = a ( 1 − u) 3 + 3 a u ( 1 − u) 2 − 3 a u 2 ( 1 − u) − a u 3. where a = 20. In a CAD system, you can construct this curve by using the control points P 0 = ( − 60, 20), P 1 = ( − 20, 20), P 2 = ( 20, − 20), and P 3 = ( 60, − 20). So, this is the case k = 20 of #1 above.
Currently, Autodesk Inventor has introduced the new tool that help sketching the spline lines either in 2D plane or 3D space simplifying the task of 3D modelling of propeller turbine blade, called Equation Curve. The Equation Curve tool requires the codes for creating the spline lines.
To Create and Edit Equation Curves Inventor 2016 . · Right click on curve->Edit Equation Curve. Select ''Show Units''. note that cos and sin have degrees, not radians -> "d2 * ( sin (1 deg * t) - t * cos (1 deg * t)" You can manually replace ''deg'' with ''rad'' in the edit box. Also, reduce the ''t'' value upper evaluation down from 900 to 20 or so, or you will be waiting a while.
